There is a reason your classes in school are anywhere from 45 minutes to 55 minutes long. There is a law of diminishing returns that essentially states that beyond a certain point each additional unit of time spent yields a smaller and smaller return on that time until eventually you are no longer reaping benefits at all. So, while you are alert and mentally rested at the beginning of a session, work on the topics that will help you the most followed by the ones of lesser importance.
